Defense Coach
Jason Binkley
Jason grew up in Powell, Ohio where he played youth hockey for the Cleveland Barons. For Juniors, he spent one season with the Jersey Hitmen in the NCDC before moving on to play one season for the Tri City Storm in the USHL. After Juniors, he played for Ferris State University where he was a part of the 2012 NCAA National Championship game in
Tampa, Florida. Upon graduating from Ferris State in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Jason went on to play over 350 professional hockey games in the ECHL, AHL and overseas in the EIHL. Jason has moved on from playing and into the coaching realm. He started his coaching career with the Fayetteville Marksmen in the SPHL and is currently coaching the Reading Royals of the ECHL. He specializes in working with the Defensemen.
Forward Coach
Johnny Curran
Johnny joins us from a unique hockey path that has taken him through the different levels of Jr, NCAA & Professional hockey. Johnny has seen what it takes to earn a scholarship to the D1 level from Jr B hockey. After a 4 year career at Niagara University, and a heartbreaking conference title loss his senior year, he was picked up by the Coventry Blaze of the EIHL. He is now going into his 4th year of Professional hockey and still plays & develops his game today. Johnny is looking forward to teaching players how to execute at top speed, move their feet and find seams/ways to create more offense.
D Coach
Hunter Lellig
​Hunter grew up in Waterloo, Iowa but played his youth hockey for the Chicago Mission. He entered the junior hockey ranks playing for the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL for one year. Finally finishing his junior career the following year playing for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL. After juniors, he spent four years at the University of Minnesota Duluth winning the National Championship in 2018. He graduated with a degree in finance and is continuing is college hockey career and education next year at Bowling Green State University. Hunter specializes in teaching defenseman different aspects of the game.
D Coach
Ryan Lowney
Ryan grew up in Redford, Michigan where he played AAA hockey for Detroit Compuware. His senior year of high school he left to Youngstown, Ohio where he played 2 seasons of Junior hockey in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. Following is Junior career he went on to play 4 years of NCAA D1 hockey at Ferris State University. While at Ferris State he appeared in the NCAA tournament twice. After graduating with a finance degree, Ryan has now played over 300 professional hockey games. He has played for multiple teams in the ECHL, Metal Ligaen (Denmark), EIHL (England) and Tipos Extraliga (Slovakia). Ryan is excited to develop young defenseman and help them to improve their game to get to the next level.
